Amy’s passion and excitement for medicine first began while working as an administrative assistant and aide to Physical Therapists in high school. Her exposure to rehabilitation and physical medicine through the realm of Physical Therapy inspired an interest in sports medicine and kinesiology, which led her to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and minor in Psychology at George Fox University between 2018 and 2022. Following her undergraduate studies, she went on to pursue her Master of Physician Assistant Studies through Idaho State University, completing her degree in August 2024.
As a part of her formal clinical rotations with Idaho State’s PA program, Amy completed a 5-week orthopedic surgery-focused rotation with AOS. Combining her passion for sports, clinical care, and surgery, her rotation with AOS was a perfect fit, and she is delighted to be returning to the group now as a provider!
A lifelong Alaskan, Amy enjoys hiking, running, camping, and fishing. With returning to her home state after pursuing her education in Oregon and Idaho, she is eager to rediscover Alaska alongside her husband, Josiah.
